Hollywood Performance Academy (HPA) was started in Los Angeles, California, in 2017 by a collective of writers, producers, actors, and entrepreneurs. HPA held in person intensive acting for film & TV, commercials & voice over acting, theatre and stage performing. (including:​ comedy, poetry, music, etc.) and on occasion public & motivational speaking as well as business startup classes. Since the pandemic shutdown, HPA has grown to now include a virtual learning lab & performing annex (HPAannex) held within the walls of the Off-Hollywood Studios (OHS).
Also offered is founder, S. Michelle Blackwell, B.O.S.$. Theory Academy (BOS$TA), which offers an array of intensive public & motivational speaking courses, writing & independent production training programs, small business startup courses, and workforce training programs.

Our Academics
Here at HPA we offer a comprehensive academic program that is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills to succeed in their chosen field. We provide classes focusing on the fundamentals of acting, as well as courses in business, literature and drama.
